Landscape Picture 2

I took this landscape picture near Grabouw on my way to the De Hoop Nature Reserve in South Africa's Western Cape. I just had to stop for it. Cloud formations in this part of the country can be really stunning, especially during wintertime. The yellow canola field added the necessary colour.
When you have your camera on you, and you spot an opportunity to photograph something, be sure to stop and take the picture. It might seem like a bit of effort at that moment, but it might just be well worth it.
The N2 highway from Cape Town to the Eastern Cape of South Africa forms part of the Garden Route. This is a very popular tourist destination. This is the route I use to get to De Hoop Nature Reserve, and it lies next to some really beautiful mountains most of the way.
De Hoop Nature Reserve in South Africa is not one of the most visited reserves. However, it is well known for its Whale Trail hike where Southern Right Whales can be seen almost constantly while hiking. It is also a good place to see antelope such as Eland, Bontebok, Cape Mountain Zebra and the rare Grysbok. The birdlife is spectacular in that part of the country.
If you also want opportunities to take pictures like this one, why don't you visit my
