Links to my Favourite Photo Sites

In this section, I provide you with links to my favourite photo sites. These are quality sites that I stumbled on over the years' and visited regularly ever since. The sites listed here are all good quality and will either give you, or lead you to, exactly what you need.

I am also interested in exchanging links with quality, similar-themed photo sites, but not in the conventional way. I use the Value Exchange program. Those links will also not appear on this links page, as the ever more clever search engine spiders pick up a collection of links and give fever (or even zero) ranking points to such links. Therefore, you need to keep it real!

Value Exchange puts you into contact with other sites with similar subjects or keywords, and help you establish useful links that will help improve your ranking at the search engines. It also checks these links on a regular basis and checks for numerous types of nasty links that will not get you any search engine ranking points, and might even hurt you at the engines. It is an excellent book, but maybe a bit on the long side for an on the move webmaster. However, I must stress that all information given in the book is critical for those who want to turn their sites into top traffic generating websites. If you can't read the whole book, just read Chapter 3, "The Best Ways to Build Incoming Links Now". This book is also available free of charge.

One of the most useful photo sites on the web is called PhotoLinks - The Photography Network and provides thousands of links to almost any kind of photography site out there. This site is extremely useful for finding photography information. If you have a photography website, this is also a good place to list or advertise.

An even better directory for listing your photography site (in terms of the traffic it delivers) is photolinks.ch

One of the best nature photography websites (if not the best), is Nature Photographers Online Magazine. Here you will find a wealth of information and lots of nice photos to get you firing with ambition!

Another excellent general photography information site is Profotos.com. Lots of good information.
